Creating an Easter Scene

Hello. Happy Friday to you! Today’s card was inspired by a local egg drop that takes place every year right before Easter. Eggs are dropped by helicopter and then a huge Easter Egg Hunt begins. I thought it would be fun to recreate the scene on a card using a hot air balloon….

I used THIS stamp set for the hot air balloon and bunny and used THIS stamp set for the Easter Eggs and sentiment. I stamped the basket portion of the balloon using THIS ink on to a piece of THIS paper. I applied THIS distress ink around the edges to add a bit of interest. I paper pieced the hot air balloon using THIS paper pad….

To create the hill scene, I used THESE dies. I haven’t cut the dies apart yet which worked well because it created a slit in the center to tuck the eggs into…

I decorated the eggs using THIS white gel pen and heat embossed one of the eggs with THIS new Simon embossing powder. It’s the perfect gold for the golden egg…what’s an Easter egg hunt without a golden egg!?

Thanks so much for stopping by!

What a fun idea. They don't have anything like that in my neck of the woods. Cute card!
