Masking with Epoxy Stickers

Hi there. I’m back today with a couple more cards I created using THIS card kit. (Click HERE to see a previous card I’ve shared using the same kit.)

Included in the kit are some fabulous epoxy stickers. I thought they might make a fun mask and since they are epoxy coated, the ink blending I did on top cleans right off! You can even reuse the stickers….gotta love that!

Here’s the first card I created using the heart stickers as masks…

First, I die-cut a panel using THIS die and THIS cardstock. I placed all the heart stickers randomly to create a background and blended a variety of Distress Ink colors on top. (Picked Raspberry, Festive Berries, Spiced Marmalade, Evergreen Bough, and Peacock Feathers) I sprayed the piece heavily with THIS spray for some shine and then gently removed the heart stickers/masks and wiped them off with a paper towel. I adhered the background to a piece of white cardstock to add a border along two of the edges and then adhered it down to a black note card. I finished it off with an arrow sticker, a sentiment from the stamp set included in the kit, and some of THESE sequins.

I did the same exact thing for the second card but used a word sticker instead…
I was inspired by the stickers themselves and masked off the letters for a similar two tone effect..

After I blended Picked Raspberry and Barn Door Distress Ink on top, I flicked on water to create “bleached” spots for added interest. After gently removing the letters, I used THIS outline heart die (included in the card kit) to create the heart in the center of the letter O. I die-cut THIS die out of black fun foam and added THIS on top for some shine. I used THIS wonky stitched die for the border.
A closer look…
I hope this inspires you to do some masking with your epoxy stickers. I like that you can use them over and over and if you want to use the stickers themselves and they lost some stick, just add some of THIS adhesive under it to keep them firmly in place.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
