Happy Halloween

Hello and Happy Halloween! I don't usually do Halloween cards but I was inspired by some cute Halloween products! Doodlebug products get me every time. THIS adorable paper pad? Forget about it! Sold. LOL

I cut the patterned papers into half inch strips and mounted them on a piece of black cardstock. I cut THIS wreath die using black cardstock and black fun foam. I adhered it on top of the patterned paper strips, filling in some holes and leaving some open allowing the pattern to peek through. I love using the holiday wreath for Halloween instead....a great way to stretch your supplies!

Here's a closer look...

I finished off the card by stamping THIS spider using THIS ink. I used some white thread to have him hang off the sentiment strip. I covered the entire wreath with a heavy coating of THIS for lots of shine!

Speaking of Halloween, I must mention this...
Have you heard of the Teal Pumpking Project? It's a campaign to raise awareness of children's food allergies. You can find more about it HERE. As a mom who has a son with food allergies, I think this is so important.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a fun and safe Halloween!

2015 Holiday Card Series- Card #3

Hi there. Welcome back to my Holiday Card Series. Today's card features THIS adorable stamp set...
It's the perfect image to practice coloring. I used THESE coordinating dies to make cutting out the image quick and easy. I created a winter scene by die-cutting THIS die out of THIS cardstock several times. I adhered the top, snowfall portion flat to the card and adhered the bottom, tree portion underneath adhering several layers on top for lots of dimension. It's hard to see in the photos, but I used THIS to add snow to the trees. It's so cool in real life.

A closer look...

I finished off the card by heat embossing a sentiment and adding a border along the edge using THIS die to add a bit more interest. I love how the color pops off the white card.

Thanks so much for joining me today. Hugs.

CASEing Kelly Blog Hop

Hello! I'm excited to be joining such a fabulous group of artists to celebrate Kelly Latevola. If you're unfamiliar with Kelly, please click HERE and check out her amazing blog. She does a CASEing feature on her blog where she shares three cards from an artist and a card she created inspired by their work. She featured me HERE awhile ago and now I'm going to CASE her!

Before I get to that, I wanted to say a few things about Kelly. I had the pleasure of meeting her in person about a year ago at a craft retreat. I remember I had just said goodbye to my sweet dog (Jack) a few days before and was feeling a bit bummed. Kelly INSTANTLY made me laugh. She is one of the funniest people I've ever met. I love her kind heart, her potty mouth, and her talent? It's insane. I just love her so much and happy to get a chance to celebrate her...

Here a few cards created by Kelly that inspired me...

This card? Absolutely stunning. I love her use of color.
You can never go wrong with a shaker card that has a rainbow and a unicorn and is filled with bling! Makes me happy.
Oh my. This card is perfection. I love all the layers she adds to each card but still keeps it clean.

Yep. She's crazy good! I'm always inspired by her bold use of color on white. Here's my card inspired by her three cards...

Kelly is a pro at coloring. Me? Not so much. I did give it a go though with THESE markers to color in the images. I was able to achieve a bold background by using THESE watercolors.

What is a blog hop without some fun prizes?! Leave a comment by 11:59 pm EDT on Thursday, October 29th along each stop in the hop to increase your chances of winning a prize from one of our sponsors: a2z Scrapbooking, Altenew, Create a Smile Stamps, Dee's Art Impressions, DJ Kard Kreations, Hero Arts, Ink Road, Lia Stampz and Simon Says Stamp,! Winners will be notified by email after October 29th.

2015 Holiday Card Series- Card #2

Hi there. I'm back today with another holiday card as part of my 2015 Holiday Card Series...
One of my favorite stamp sets from the Simon Says Stamp's CREATE JOY release was THIS stamp set. So cute. It is a follow up to THIS stamp set released in the summer (you can see a card I made with that stamp set HERE).

I stamped the boy and girl image with THIS ink on to a piece of THIS cardstock and used THESE coordinating dies to cut them out. I used THESE dies to create the background and used THIS die with some vellum to create a snow bank. I die-cut a red heart and added THIS on top for some shimmer. I finished off the card by stamping a coordinating sentiment from the set.

A closer look...
I used THIS foam behind the images for a little dimension. I just love that you can pick accessories for the images. So adorable.

That's all I got for today. Have a wonderful day and I'll be back soon with another Holiday card...
