Share Handmade Kindness- Week 2

Hi there. It’s week 2 of the Share Handmade Kindness Challenge and it’s all about sharing kindness to those who serve/work in the community….doctors, dentists, nurses, waitresses, mail carriers, teachers, police, firefighters, pastors, military, etc.

I adore my dentist and hygienist. They always make my family and I feel at ease. I actually look forward to getting cleanings because I get to visit with them. I decided to make a couple of cards for them to let them know that they do a great job and that I appreciate their hard work….

I purchased THIS adorable stamp set a long time ago to use when my little guy gets a visit from the tooth fairy and I thought it would be a perfect fit for these cards.. I stamped the tooth image on a couple of die-cut shapes created with THIS and THIS die. I also stamped the same image on white cardstock and cut out just the tooth image and adhered it in place. I added a heavy coating of glossy accents on top of the tooth image for some shine. I used a sentiment from THIS stamp set under the image and used THIS background stamp to add some interest.

I wanted to keep these cards simple so I embellished with some floss. Yes…you read that right…dental floss. I wrapped some around the patterned paper piece on the blue card and tied a bow with it around the green card. I thought it would be a fun touch!

A closer look at the cards…

I also wanted to share an idea for Doctors and Nurses. I shared this idea in the past, but wanted to share again for my new readers. Three years ago, when my son was born, he had to go to the NICU due to some breathing issues. He spent the first ten days of his life there and I couldn’t have asked for a better set of nurses during that scary time. When we finally got settled in after coming home, I got to work creating card sets for all of them and also the doctors on my OBGYN team….

Here is a closer look at them all packaged up with matching envelopes…
I will never forget the response I received. It was overwhelming. Kindness really does matter. I hope this inspires you to show kindness in your community. Make sure to link up your projects HERE.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

    FUN cards 🙂
It's great to have a dentist like you describe and I know they will appreciate your kind surprise … I'm thinking that most people either fear or dread their dental appointments, so it must get pretty disheartening for them at times, your cards will bring some pearly white smiles!!!
    THANK YOU for sharing 🙂
