Share Handmade Kindness Challenge (& a Giveaway)

Hello friends. Happy November! My sweet friend Jennifer McGuire is hosting a challenge all month long over at her blog HERE. It’s about sharing handmade kindness. You can find lots more info. HERE. I had the pleasure of helping her out with this and I’m so very proud of her!
I wanted to kick off the challenge with a few card shares along with a giveaway
Hero Arts has joined in and is selling THIS stamp set in honor of the challenge. A portion of the proceeds will go towards the KIND campaign. Pretty cool, huh? The stamp set is gorgeous. Jennifer collaborated with graphic designers to create this unique set…
Acts of Kindness Stamp Set by Hero Arts can be found HERE
I created three cards using the set…

The first card…

…was so simple to create. I stamped the line of hearts image several times in different colors of Hero Arts ink (all colors are listed in the supply list at the bottom of this post). I stamped the sentiment using THIS ink and heat embossed it using THIS embossing powder. I used the top of THIS die with an embossing pad to add some faux stitching under the sentiment. I die-cut a heart from the images using THIS die and applied THIS ink to it and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder to make it pop. I finished off the card by rounding the corners and adhering the panel to a top folding, black note card.

For the next card…

I mounted the heart images together on an acrylic block and stamped in the same colors repeatedly, creating a rainbow background. I cut a section from the top portion of the card and replaced it with a piece of acetate that I stamped a sentiment on using Staz-On ink. I trimmed out the piece with a few tiny strips of black cardstock and finished the card with some gems and rounded the bottom corners.

For the final card…
I die-cut a piece of white cardstock using THIS die. I stamped the adorable envelope image in the same inks and mounted a few of them with foam tape for some added dimension. I heat embossed a sentiment and mounted the panel on a black note card. For a finishing touch, I added glossy accents to a few of the hearts. Clean and simple.

I also wanted to share that the circle stamp in the set is the perfect size to create an envelope seal….

These are great – such a great little stamp set too!

I'm thinking I plan to make cupcakes for the awesome workers at the Dunkin I stop at for coffee every morning. They're all so wonderful and kind and, I know they work around all those tasty donuts, but I was thinking it would make them feel good to get a treat and card that says that they make a difference. Working on it tomorrow.

My BFF has been going through AA recovery and is trying to get back on track after making some very poor choices over the past couple of years. I I have been sending her little reminders for encouragement telling her how much she is loved.

Great encouraging comments here to read how people are sharing some kindness and love and kudos to you for initiating this wonderful cause of spreading some kindness! I am now inspired to share some kindness to my daughters husband (as of yesterday) who is a 1st Lieutenant in the army and is training to be a special ops and he oversees a large platoon of fine brave soldiers!

I am taking a 15 yr old that has recently undergone brain surgery, to her favorite restaurant. Also, she likes to stamp, so we may do some of that together.
