Share Kindness Etsy Shop (plus GIVEAWAY)

Hello. As the Share Handmade Kindness Challenge is winding down, I want to share some exciting news to continue the kindness.

I've had the pleasure of helping Jennifer with this challenge and when we sent out goodie boxes to tell people about the challenge, these quote cards were a hit...

A little bit about these cards...
These playful "Random Quotes of Kindness" are intended for just that: sharing a bit of unexpected kindness...anywhere and everywhere. Put one in a kid's lunch box. Leave another of the windshield of stranger's car at the grocery store. Tape one to a dressing room mirror (with the washi tape that is included). Send one in the mail to a friend. Be creative and spread kindness!

Many of the recipients used them up quickly... so I (with Jennifer's blessing) decided to open an Etsy shop to sell them. My shop is called the Share Kindness Shop and you can find it HERE. The cards are available in two different styles.

The regular style which can be found HERE...

or the speech bubble version that can be found HERE...

The best part? Twenty percent of the proceeds will go to the Kind Campaign- an amazing organization that is working to end bullying.

These cards are awesome on there own, but I wanted to share a few examples of cards I created with them. They make quick cards and are the perfect size for pocket page scrapbooking.

Here's the set of cards I created using them and Mama Elephant's Lunar Animals Stamp set...

One of the dies in THIS wonky stitches die set works perfectly with the quote card size and does a faux stitch around the edges. I die-cut a speech bubble to highlight the quote. I used THIS paper pad to add some interest to the background.

A closer look...

I die-cut fun foam using THESE coordinating dies and adhered them behind the animal images to add some dimension. I adhered the quote slightly off center from the foam behind it to created a colored shadow. I finished off the cards by using THIS pen to make the eyes pop and adhering everything down to THESE card bases. I'm really liking this smaller size of cards!

Want to win a set of these cards for you and your friend? Just leave a comment below naming a friend you will give the extra set to and why they are awesome. I will pick FIVE winners! You have until Saturday, December 5th at Midnight EST to enter.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Skipping Stones Design Challenge

Hello and welcome. I'm a guest over on the Skipping Stones Design Blog and I created a card for the Anything Goes Challenge. I decided to work with a fun set that is a continuation of THIS and THIS set...
I stamped the bra image on to a piece of THIS patterned paper. I added THIS ink to the edges to make it pop. I created a clothesline using some string and cut little black rectangles to resemble clips. I did some watercolor in the background and stamped a few hearts for interest. I added a black frame to finish the card and mounted everything to a pink note card.

Here's a closer look...
Make sure to head over the the Skipping Stones Design Blog HERE for more inspiration and information on how to enter the challenge.

Thanks for spending some time with me. Have a great day!

Share Handmade Kindness Challenge- Week 4

Hi there. This is the last week of the Share Handmade Kindness Challenge and it's all about spreading kindness to strangers. I'm sharing five ideas today...

1. Movie Night

I went to a few local Redbox movie rental machines and taped some popcorn bags to them with a little note...

2. Beautiful Notes

I created some simple notes using THIS die and taped them to dressing room mirrors...

I don't know about you but I could use this encouragement in the dressing room! :)

3. Coloring Fun

I picked up a bunch of coloring books and crayons that I plan on placing in the waiting areas of a local children's hospital. Hospitals can be scary for little ones and I thought these would keep their mind's occupied...

4. Enjoy the Little Things

This is another idea for kids. My little guy LOVES to go to the mall just to run around. I thought it would be fun to leave quarters on all the rides...
That machine station in the background of the photo would be a great place to leave random quarters as well!

5. Care Packages
I created several of these care packages for the Ronald McDonald House.

Whenever I travel, I never use the shampoo, conditioner or soaps that are in the hotel rooms because I pack my own. However, I do save them and collect them to put in these care packages.

I hope this inspires you to share kindness with strangers. Be the reason someone smiles today. :)

Thanks so much for stopping by.
