Clear Pocket Cards using the Fuse Tool

Hi there. I recently purchased THIS tool and was inspired by the Scrapbook Pocket Pages on the market to create Clear Pocket Cards….

If you’re not familiar with the Fuse tool

The Fuse Tool can be found HERE

…it comes with a welding tip that fuses the plastic together, creating a seam. This is perfect for shaker cards, but I really like the idea of creating “mini” pocket pages. For my first card…

I stamped images from THIS and THIS stamp set from Lawn Fawn, colored them with some Spectrum Noir Markers. I used one of THESE stamp pockets and laid the ice cream images in the bottom of the pocket. Once I was happy with the spacing I began to fuse the sections, creating a pocket for each image to sit in. I continued this up the card adding a pocket for my sentiment, sequins, ice cream scoop image, and of course the gift card.

BTW…Graeter’s is a local ice cream shop that is SO good. If you are not a Cincinnati local, click HERE and visit their online shop if you’re looking for a yummy treat!

Okay back to the card…I noticed that the pocket I made for the gift card was a bit snug. I didn’t want the recipient to have trouble removing it, so I die-cut half of a circle die to create access for easy removal. Here’s a closer look…

I used the same concept for the next clear pocket card but created only two pockets (a much easier version) …
This time I placed one of THESE acetate cards in the bottom and noticed that it was going to be smaller than the size of pocket I needed to accommodate the top pocket’s gift card. Using a piece of washi tape to secure it in place did the trick. I placed some of THESE sequins in the pocket for some fun. I like that when they travel behind the green plastic piece, they change color and give off the look of a green sequin. A closer look…

I finished off the card by die-cutting THIS die using THIS product and running it through THIS machine using THIS foil. I adhered it to the front of the plastic. Oh, I forgot to mention that I stamped an arrow from THIS stamp set using THIS ink to draw attention to the “good coffee” sentiment at the bottom of the green acetate card. This helps tie in the coffee theme.
I hope this inspires you to to create some clear pocket cards. Thanks so much for stopping by!
