SSS August Card Kit Continued…

If you remember from THIS post, the August Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp was a favorite of mine. I decided to make another card with it…
I started with THIS die and cut it from THIS cardstock to create the sun image. I added some of THIS ink to the edges with my ink blending tool. I stamped the greeting from the stamp set included in the kit with THIS ink and clear heat embossed it. The kit also comes with an awesome sunshine word die that I cut three times from black cardstock. I inked it with Versamark ink and clear heat embossed it to make it pop.
To create the flip flops, I colored a piece of white cardstock with THIS ink pad and stamped the flip flop images. I inked the open dot heart image in the stamp set using Versamark ink and stamped it on top of the image. It resists the ink, creating a subtle texture on the flip flops….

I stamped the solid border image from THIS stamp set in a variety of inks on to a piece of Neenah Cardstock. I created a frame around it using THIS die. I stamped the triangle border from the stamp set using THIS ink along the edge of one of THESE note cards.

I finished off the card by adhering all the elements down, putting fun foam under the sun for dimension, and spraying the card with THIS for some shine.

That’s all for today. You may see some more sunshine/summer cards from me soon because I don’t want summer to end! Who’s with me!?

Thanks so much for stopping by.
