Stretching your dies

Hi there! I've shared a lot of examples in the past on how to stretch your stamps to achieve completely new looks, but today I want to share how to stretch your dies. I started with THESE adorable birthday tags from Neat and Tangled...

The shape of the dies reminded me of a birthday cake...

I die-cut the top tag out of THIS paper pad. I also die-cut the die included in the set (which is intended to be a slit in the top of the tag) and transformed it into candles. I hand painted flames with THESE watercolors and finished off the card with some of THESE sequins. I used THIS die to create the panel.

I created this card for the latest Little Tangles Challenge, which is all about die-cutting...

Oh, and speaking of die-cutting....there's still time to enter my Quick Crafty Tip Giveaway...check it out HERE.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
