SSS- The Color of Fun Release Continued

Hello! Last week I shared a couple of cards HERE using some new goodies from The Color of Fun Release by Simon Says Stamp. Today I’m back sharing more ways how to stretch your stamps!

First, I took a look at THIS new stamp set and used it in a completely different way than intended…

One with Nature Stamp Set

I turned the tree image (in the upper left corner) and flipped it upside down to create an apple…

I stamped the solid image using THIS ink and stamped the outlined image with THIS and THIS ink on to a piece of THIS watercolor paper. I stamped the solid leaf image using THIS ink followed by THIS ink for the outlined image.
I finished off the card by heat embossing a sentiment from THIS set under the apple using THIS ink and THIS embossing powder. I die-cut some frames from THIS die set and mounted everything on to a black note card. I applied a coating of glossy accents to the apple for some shine…

For my second card, I stretched the use of these two stamp sets…
My Sunshine Stamp Set
Game Tile Letters Stamp Set

I used the sun image from the first set to create a flower. I stamped the image using THIS ink and used THESE coordinating dies for an embossed look around the image. I stamped the little circle images in the set for the center of the flower and used THIS set for the stem. I die-cut a border from THIS set to go under the flower.
Now for the letters…
I die-cut the squares using THIS coordinating die and stamped each letter on to a piece of THIS cardstock. I didn’t want the numbers that are next to the letters, so I used a mini ink cube and carefully inked up around the numbers.

I hope this has inspired you to take a second look at your stamps and get more mileage out of them.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

I was really impressed with your creativity in stretching your stamps. I so wish I had the foresight to do this. I can sit and stare at my stamps and nothing comes to mind. Maybe I lost my mojo?
