Spinning Gumball Card

Hi there! I’m excited to show you an interactive card today. I played with THIS stamp set and created this card…

I thought it would make a perfect spinner card so I made the gumball spin. You can see it in action on my Instagram HERE. How fun is that!?

I stamped the cute gumball machine, gumball and greeting from THIS stamp set using THIS ink and heat embossed them with THIS embossing powder. I used THESE markers and water to color in the images. I applied glossy accents for some shine…

To create the opening for the gumball to move, I used THIS die and die-cut it three times, making the slit slightly bigger as I went so it would fit the penny. I sandwiched two pennies together with foam adhesive in between and popped it into the slit. I adhered the single gumball on top. I used THIS foam adhesive on the back of the piece so the panel would be raised. You have to do this step if you want the image to spin. It can’t be flat against the card.

A closer look…

Creating a spinner card isn’t as difficult as it looks. I recommend THIS video for a quick tutorial if you’re interested in creating one. I watched it as a refresher before making my card.
This card was so fun to make. I hope you give it a try! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great weekend.
