SSS Wednesday Challenge Blog- Guest Designer (Week 3)

Hello! Today I’m sharing my card for week 3 as guest designer over on the Simon Says Stamp’s Wednesday Challenge Blog.

The challenge this week is inspired by Pinterest and also featuring Bazzill products. Here is the photo we were inspired by…
Here’s my card…

I have to admit. I STRUGGLED with this card. My creative mojo was gone and I wasn’t sure where to start so I decided to do a watercolor background using Distress Ink. I was going for the look of an Easter egg that had been dyed. I applied Spun Sugar, Tumbled Glass, and Shabby Shutters Distress Ink to a large, acrylic block and sprayed it heavily with water. I laid a piece of watercolor cardstock on top. After it was dry, I tied some tan string around it and adhered the framed sentiment on top. I stamped the bunny from THIS set on to some watercolor paper (to give texture), cut him out and placed him popping out of the frame. I used some Bazzill cardstock as the card base and for the hearts that I punched out to use as embellishments. To finish off the card, I covered the hearts with Glossy Accents.
