Wishing You Peace (plus Giveaway)…

Hello friends. Today I’m sharing our Christmas card….

To create my card, I inked up THIS snowflake die from Hero Arts with silver ink and ran it through my die-cut machine with THIS embossing mat. This allows it to only emboss the image and not cut through all the way. I heat embossed a sentiment from THIS stamp set in Gold. I die-cut the panel using THIS die to achieve the stitched frame and added some of THESE, THESE, THESE, THESE, and THESE to finish off the card. I mounted it all on a black card base made out of THIS cardstock.

I wanted something playful and fun for the inside. Here it is…..

I love this picture of my little guy and thought it might put a smile on the recipient’s face, as it always does mine. 🙂
A closer look at that embossing technique…
I wish I could all send all of you a Christmas card, but since I can’t, how about a giveaway?

I love this card! I have been away from dies for a few years and I'm just now returning, catching up on everything that is new. I didn't know you could use a die to emboss. I have a Sizzix and I'm wondering if there is an equivalent mat for the Sizzix. Using the die to emboss rather than to die cut and layer really looks wonderful. Thank you for posting this. Oh – and I love Christmas, most of all, for my grandchildren's excitement!

SO envious of your handwritting, it is so lovely, mine is really crappy that's why I always use sentiment stamps 🙂 My favorite thing about Christmas is being together with my family. Not saying that I don't also enjoy the presents and the food, LOL, but if there was no family, it just would not be worth it. Thank God we get along together really well, we have a small family, and we have such a great time these days.

I love how you used the die to emboss. But the best part is the cute picture…funny my son loved his baby tub too even after his totally outgrew it. My fav thing about Christmas is decorating the house and listening to Christmas music. jeandonny2000 at hotmail dot com
