Stretching Your Dies- Showcasing new SSS dies + Giveaway!

Hello! Happy Die-cember! I have A LOT to share today. Hang in there with me because there’s a giveaway at the end!

Simon Says Stamp is releasing lots of new dies today in celebration of Die-cember and they were so sweet to send me three to play with. I’ll share two different projects for each showing you how to stretch your dies!

First up, Tea for Three Die

How cute is that!? Here is the first card using this die…

I die-cut one of the tea cups using black cardstock. I added a small heart die to the front and coated it with glossy accents for some shine. I created my background using THIS stamp set. It has the perfect sentiment in it to coordinate with the die-cut. I die-cut the steam using some glitter paper and formed two into a heart….

I decided to bring some attention to one of the sentiments I stamped by using some watercolor and embossing…
I finished the card with some silver thread, die-cut the background panel using THIS die and adhered it to a black note card.
For my second card using the Tea for Three Die, I wanted to create a Valentine’s Day card for my hubby. I die-cut a couple spoons from the die and printed out a cheeky sentiment from my computer…

I punched out several hearts from colored cardstock and cut a banner shape using THIS die. I added some Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents to the spoons for some shine…

The next die I created projects with is the Mod Arrow Border Die

I love this die. It’s a must have. As soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted to do a die-cut inlay technique with it…

I cut several arrows out of colored cardstock and laid them in place like a puzzle. I wanted to make them shine so I added VersaMark with a pen and heat embossed them with clear embossing powder. You can see a close up picture of the shine by clicking HERE. The sentiment is from THIS Paper Smooches set.
For my next card using the Mod Arrow Border Die, I kept it simple….

….and used some extra arrows to draw attention to my sentiment. I cut THIS die out several times out of black cardstock and stamped the coordinating stamp set for the sentiment using VersaFine Black ink. I finished off the card by adding some embossing to the bottom…

For my final projects, I used the Garden Stems Tag Die
I decided to use just the tag portion of the die to create a Christmas tag…

It’s super easy to snip off the stem images so you can use it as a tag frame. I heat embossed a snowflake image from THIS stamp set using white embossing powder and did some watercolor over it to make it pop. The flower images in the die work PERFECTLY in the center of the snowflake! The sentiment is from THIS set and I die-cut the frame from some glitter paper for some shine to match my wrapping paper…

My next card uses the flower images of the die minus the tag portion…

I die-cut two of the tags using White Neenah Cardstock and did some quick coloring with my Copic Markers. I adhered them to a outside scene I created and topped some of the stems with the flower image die. I doubled up each one to give it lots of dimension and placed an orange gem in the center of each….

I finished off the card using a sentiment from THIS set.
Now it’s time for a GIVEAWAY:
