Simple Gift Card/Money Holder Cards

Hello crafty friends! As I mentioned on THIS post, I was able to create many projects with the new November Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp called Winter Jubilee. (More info. about the kit HERE.) I decided to create multiple cards that were easy to reproduce and would be great gift card/money holders.

The striped border image that is in the stamp set included with the kit reminded me of ribbon so I thought it would be fun to make the cards look like wrapped gifts…

After stamping the striped border directly on the pattern paper, I cut out some bows using THIS die with the adorable pattern papers included in the kit. I love that there is multiple greetings in the stamp set that is included and picked a few different ones to heat emboss on the front of each card.

The kit also includes some fun epoxy hearts and shapes. I put a little heart epoxy in the center of each bow….

It’s hard to see in the pics but I added some Wink of Stella to each bow for some sparkle and shine…

Like I mentioned earlier, I wanted these cards to be a money/gift card holder, so I punched a scalloped circle out of coordinating paper and attached the three sides to create a pocket for the gift…

The scalloped piece is where I plan on writing a message or stamping a coordinating Christmas greeting.

Now for the next batch of cards…

Same design concept but I added tags (that were cut from the pattern paper using THIS die) and created vertical cards. I like how simple the cards are but wanted to add a little bling to each tag…

That fun tree is from the kit’s stamp set. Isn’t it adorable!? There are also some cute snowflake sequins…

The tag makes the perfect spot to personalize the gift…
Speaking of gifts, I did the same thing to these cards as the previous batch of cards and turned the inside into a money holder. This time I cut a strip of coordinating cardstock and adhered it down on three sides to create a pocket…

By the way, I wanted to mix it up a bit and do a different card size than I normally do. All of the cards that are shown here today are 3.5 x 5.5.
Creating with a kit makes it so easy because everything is coordinated. I love that I now have cards on hand ready to slip a gift inside for the holiday season. Don’t forget that Simon Says Stamp was sweet enough to give a kit to me to giveaway to one of my readers. Click HERE and leave a comment to enter for a chance to win!
Thanks for stopping by and I’l be back real soon with another card share using this awesome kit. Have a great weekend!
