Copic Class- Day Three

Hello. Today I’m back with my homework project from Day Three of Copic Class over at Online Card Classes. The topic was how to add gray shading to your image to give more depth. I decided to add some gray shading to the bottom of my umbrella…

I created that background by flicking on some spray mists, adding glossy accents dots, and some pewter pearlized water on some watercolor cardstock cut out with THIS die. I added peacock feathers distress ink along the sides and center, leaving a highlight of white around the umbrella. I stamped THIS greeting in some Hero Arts navy ink and added some of THESE sequins and some new Sprinkles in Silver by Doodlebug.

After coloring my umbrella top, I cut it out and used foam adhesive to pop it up on the background panel. Then I added a coat of glossy accents to give it a “wet” look. I finished off the card by adhering it to a striped navy panel cut from THIS die and adhered everything to a white notecard base.

I’m not very good at coloring so I’m enjoying learning tricks in this class. You can find more info. about the class HERE. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Great job! I love that you are using those "homework exercises" to make something beautiful. Love the wet look to your umbrella, too.

Love the color palette you chose for this cute card! It looks like it was fun to make too.
