Stencil Challenge

Hello! Before I get to today’s card, I want to say a big thank you to everyone who left such sweet comments on my last post. I really appreciate it! Your support means so much.

This week’s challenge over on the Little Tangles Challenge Blog is to use a stencil on your project. I knew I wanted to use THIS new stamp set but didn’t have a raindrop stencil, so I created my own from a raindrop hole punch and some acetate…

Here is my card…
I created this card by stamping the sentiment in a light gray ink repeatedly to create a background. I stamped the cloud image in black ink and cut it out. I also stamped the cloud image on the white piece for placement. Under that image, I used my handmade stencil and traced the raindrop image with a black marker. I colored them in with a rainbow pattern and added glossy accents on top for some shine…
Then I adhered the black cloud that I cut out with some foam adhesive on top of the black cloud that I stamped. I decided to mat the white piece several times with different colors of cardstock in rainbow order and adhered the entire piece onto an acetate notecard. I chose the acetate notecard because the card is VERY colorful and didn’t want any more colors to compete. It acts as a great neutral card base.
To tie the card all together, I stamped the greeting from the front on the inside as well with some black ink…
That’s it for today. I hope you can play along with the stencil challenge. I would love to see what you come up with. Thanks for stopping by!
