Colorful Embossing with Stencils…

I just love a good stencil. I think THIS one from Tim Holtz is awesome. I decided to do something a bit different and try embossing with a stencil. Here is the love child from the two…

I started by tilting the stencil and taping it down on some of my favorite cardstock and applying a good amount of Versamark ink. I then lifted the stencil and put down several rows of different color embossing powders using a straw that was cut up to control the placement. Then I heat embossed it and the shine is just gorgeous…

For the greeting I used THIS stamp set that you’ve seen me use a lot lately. If you are looking for a classic sentiment stamp set, this is the one! It seems to work with any style of project. I just love it. I finished the card by adhering it to a top folding, white card base. I hope this inspires you to try some embossing with stencils. Thanks so much for stopping by!
Oh, one more thing, the winner of the Lawn Fawn giveaway from my last post is Chark! Congrats! Please use the CONTACT button on the top of my blog to give me your address.
