Craft Retreat Gifts (and Giveaway!)

Twice a year I go on a craft retreat with a bunch of friends. Here is a picture from our last retreat back in April…

I can’t say enough good things about these women. They all have the biggest hearts and are so kind. No drama. No fuss. Just a bunch of crafty girls who genuinely care for one another. We may not get a lot of crafting done, but all that laughter is good for the soul. I am truly blessed by their friendships.

I wanted to create a little gift for each of them when they arrived at the hotel. So I wrapped up some ribbon and created a little tag for the package…

To create the tag, I die cut THIS tag out of white cardstock several times. I think it was close to 40 times if I remember. LOL Then I stamped a ribbon image and sentiments from THIS stamp set in black….

Once the tag was stamped, I picked out some ribbon for each friend…

…and addressed the back of each tag…

I wanted to add a little color to each tag, but wanted something a little easier than coloring each one. So I “smooshed” some Distress Ink in different colors on my craft mat, sprayed it with pearlized water and flicked it on the front of every tag with a paintbrush…
I used different color Distress Inks to coordinate with the ribbon spools…

…and wrapped the ribbon in a clear bag and tied the tag on with some matching twine…

It was a super easy gift to create and my friends really seemed to like it.

So today’s giveaway ties in with my gift giving share. Just leave a comment to this post by midnight on Monday, June 30th to enter for a chance to win these ribbon spools…

Thanks so much for visiting. Be back tomorrow…
